InstantBuzz Does Live Up to It's Hype

What is InstantBuzz?
Click here to see my initial post on InstantBuzz.

What is the problem?
I been using InstantBuzz for a few weeks now earning advertising points as I surf the web. Over 5000 impressions of my text-ad there was only 1 click. I tried changing the headline's around, but that doesn't really help. The thing is InstantBuzz does not work. The text-ads shown on the browser changes around as people surf and a lot of the ads don't really get seen. You would need a top notch attention getter text-ad to see any results. I don't recommend this for anyone since it didn't work for me.

What is the best approach still?
Learning SEO, long-tail phrases, and social bookmarking. Those are still the best for getting good quality page views of your website.

Increase The Chance of Selling an Ad Space

I saw an article on, "How to Make Easy Money Online through Advertising Programs?". The article is kind of a encouragement for people that are new to making money online. The information provided by the article tells of a few things that people can make money money online. I have already seen most of the money makers mention in the article, but the one that caught my attention is BlogAds where bloggers can use it to monetize their blog by selling ad space.

What is BlogAds?
BlogAds is marketplace where it gathers bloggers and advertisers. Advertisers can search for blogs to buy ads and it also increase the chance for a blogger to sell an ad space on their blog. The bad thing about BlogAds is not everyone can just sign up, you need to be sponsor by another blogger of your niche. Hope is not lost because you can send an email to signup@blogads.com with your blog URL and niche and they will notify you when there is another blogger that wants to sponsor you.

How do the Ads look like?
Check out the video below to see how to ads are like. This video is made for advertisers to show them how to advertise using BlogAds.

Cheap Quality Advertising

Do you notice the "Are you in my Top Spots" section on the right hand side of this blog? People who wants to get their website seen, but don't want to spend money on costly PPC or Ineffective auto-surfs should definitely check out "Are you in my Top Spots" because a lot of websites with good traffic is only charging about $1 per month.

Its a really good deal if you want to advertise. I get about 2000 monthly visits on average. So if you pay for the $1 to have you link shown for one month it would be about $0.0005 per impression. The CPM is also $0.50, which means the cost per thousand impression. Its cheaper than most places. Its extremely cheap if you advertise on websites with the same niche. That way you are getting most people that would also be interested in your website.

So if you want to promote an affiliate link or just your website. You can find websites with the Top Spots widget installed. They have a directory where you can search for related niche websites.

If you get 10 website that each charges $1 per month and each of them get about 2000 visitors per month. You get 20,000 potential visitors that are interested in your website for just $10. If you try PPC its mostly $0.10 per click and up. If 100 people click on your link you already used up the $10. Do you think you can get more than 100 visitors from 20,000 impressions at websites where people are most likely interested in clicking on your link. Of course you need to come up with a short phrase that can catch people's attention.

Just ask yourself one question, "Why should people want to visit my website?". If you got the answer just put it in the shortest phrase possible and start advertising at website with the "Top Spots" widget installed.

Telling People About Pay Per Play

I actually tried out contacting blog owners about this opportunity with an initial question if they would the be interested in putting ads on their website. A few actually expressed interested and a few of those few reply with something pretty harsh that I rather not get into the details while the rest just ignored it.

I guess the best way for me to get referrals at the moment is to get more traffic to my blog. The more traffic I get the more prospect I'll have to see what offers or opportunity I have found and share with my readers and new visitors.

Per Per Play is currently in pre-launch so no one knows for sure how well it will be. Per Per Play suggested a $0.028 per visitor, it's suppose to be a low estimate advertising bid. Let say thats the lowest it gets per visitor. I'm averaging about 50 unique visitors per day so that would be $1.40 per day paid by advertisers. In 30 days that would be $42.00 paid to Pay Per Play. I will get 25% of that, which is $10.5 per month. Thats pretty good. Just work on increasing your traffic and you'll earn more.

Let say I'm John Chow and I get about 320,000 unique visitors per month and earning $0.028 per unique visitor. The advertisers would spent a total of $8960 on 5 second audio ads at John Chow's website for one month. John Chow gets 25% of the $8960, which is $2240. Add that too his monthly earnings that would bring him pretty close to $30,000 per month adding up all his other blog earnings.

Those are pretty impressive numbers. Anyone who has a website should definitely sign up. They're in pre-launch right now so we don't know if its legit or not yet, but it does sounds good. It can't really hurt you because you don't spend any money at all unless you're an advertiser. The worst it gets is getting spam. A good tip for you is have a testing email account for new opportunities. Use that email instead of the one you check all the time. Once you realize Pay Per Play is a legit opportunity, just changed it to the email that you check all the time. That's what I'm doing right now.

BlackFriday Ads

Its almost that time of year again. People flock to stores and wait in like 2am in the morning just so they can increase their chance of getting a very nice deal. I never went to any of those because there aren't any things that I really like. Even though they have a lot of very good deals, I rather get my sleep done.

Black Friday sales happens once a year the day after Thanksgiving. Right after you finish your Thanksgiving dinner a lot of consumers get ready to wait in line outside of the favorite retail store.

For lazy people like me that does not want to wait in line, there are online retail stores that also will participate in the Black Friday sale. They also have major retailers like Circuit City, BestBuy, CompUSA, EBgames, etc. So instead of waiting in line 2am in the morning to try to get something you want, it is now possible to get it from the comfort of your own home just by having a computer and an Internet connection. Usually people prepare for Christmas on the day of Black Friday because that is the biggest sales of the year and its a month before Christmas.

When you submit your email, they will send you an email whenever new BFads are available. There already have a lot of products including their sales price for Black Friday. See if there is anything you like and prepare for battle. Yeah Black Friday is kind of like a battle between consumers to see who can get the stuff they want. Hopefully this year in the BestBuy ad, there would be a huge discount on gaming consoles. I really want to get my Nintendo DS Lite.

Advertise on Knighty Night's Talk

According to AdBrite I get about 1300 pageviews per day from 150 unique visitors. These 150 visitors must be really interested in the stuff in my blog just browsing around. I wonder if I will be able to get these numbers multiply by 10.

Click on picture to see the AdBrite page for my blog

It seems that the quality of pageviews are better than the majority of AdBrite publishers in the marketplace with a 4/5, which is at the top 80% which is a B grade. The unique user aren't that good but still 3/5, which is about 60%, which is a D if you put a grade to it. Still waiting for that PageRank. It has been more than 130 days already.

Make Money With YouTube Videos?

Ever since Google bought YouTube for $1.65 billion dollars, they have not change much for fear of scaring away the audience. That would be a disaster if that happen. The $1.65 billion will go down the drain if the wrong move is made.

Google has the concept of displaying ads within the videos, but they are going to use a different approach to display the ads that will not scare the audience away and at the same time make advertiser's happy.

What Google's is planning to do is have the ad appear 15 seconds after a user begins watching a video clip. They will have the ad fade in on the bottom fifth of the screen, but different from the tickers that display headlines during a television news program.

When the ad appears, the user can ignore the overlay, which will dissappear after of 10 seconds or close it when they see it. I guess that is a little annoying that something comes out irratting your enjoyment of the video your watching. If the viewer clicks on the ad, the video they were watching will pause and the video ad will play. After the viewer finishes watching the video ad or decide to close it midway, the video they were watching will resume.

Interesting Stuff about Making Money
Eileen Naughton, Google's director for media platforms said, "We want our users to be able to accept and choose what type of advertising they engage in." I can't help but think that a percentage of the revenue will go to the user who uploaded the video seeing that quote. That quote is also confusing as who the user are. Is it the video uploader user or the advertisers users. They also mention that not all the videos will be displaying ads because it depends on the videos.

The revenue from the ads will be split between the media partner and YouTube. I'm assuming that the media partner is the video uploaders because advertisers will be paying the cost of advertising and there is only three other kinds of people in YouTube. The people that come watches the video, the people that upload their video, and YouTube owner, which is Google. Take out the video watcher because definitely they will not make any money because they are already watching free entertainment.

If Google's plan for advertising in videos is successful, there stock share will go out even more as a result of attracting more advertiser and more money to be made. Looks like Google has done it again. Just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
