HYIP? What is that?

I feel like I need to address HYIP in here. What is HYIP? HYIP stands for High Yield Investment Plan, it is where people invest their money in an attempt to gain high interest for their money. The reason why I say "attempt" is there are a lot of HYIPs out their one the internet that are scams, which have extremely high risk. Interest rate are usually about 1% to 200% daily on how on the initial deposit. Let say for example you deposited $1.00 and the rate is 200% daily the next day it would become $2.00. You deposit the $2.00, next day it becomes $4. Deposit $4 it becomes $8 and so on. HYIP with very low rates like 1% daily can last for a maybe more than half a year and eventually run away with their members' money. Those 200% daily tend to only last a few days and they run away. Some people do make money with these HYIP because they were the first to join and deposit money. Usually HYIP will use new deposit to pay off old members. If they get to the point where no new members they will run away with your money. I do not recommend joining any of these because I actually tried these out for myself. I lost $3.00 total from a few HYIPs that I joined. Invested in $1.00 in one HYIP earned $1.00 and withdrawed to my e-gold account. That got me excited so I reinvested the $1.00 and earned over $15,000, but they never deposited the money into my e-gold account. I thought that if I join early for any HYIPs, I would be able to make my money back and profit too, but I was wrong. Joined on the first day, then ran with the members' money a few days later.

Example of a bunch of HYIP websites shown in a HYIP consultant's website.
